Placement Work Team

Target: Kids in Court is working to provide children with safe, loving homes.  In order to tackle the issues that concern the placement of these children, the Placement Work Team was formed. 

Mission

• Analyze and define the problems associated with expediting placement of Dallas County children who are in the court system;
• Determine the root causes of delays in placement; and
• Develop a strategic implementation plan to eliminate the barriers and thus reduce the time for permanent and successful placements to be accomplished.

Vision of Success

Every abused and neglected child and juvenile in the court system is placed in a safe, permanent home within one year with the services and support to give the child the best chance of leading a healthy and productive life.

The Target: Kids in Court Placement Work Team has joined forces with other area coalitions in order to approach this vision in a more comprehensive way for all of Arlington District, a 19 county region in central North Texas that includes Dallas, Tarrant and Collin counties.
