Volunteer Position: Legal Case Assistant

Agency: Office of the Attorney General (OAG)

General summary of volunteer project:
Volunteers will assist child support officers with thge preparation and enforcement of child support cases.

Time commitment: Hours per week: 5-10 hrs. 
Hours per month: 20-40 hrs.

Length of commitment: one year

Location: Offices throughout the metroplex

Specific volunteer responsibilities:

1. Assist child support officer with preparation of cases.
2. Attend court hearings.
3. Establish child support payments for child support cases.
4. Enforce child support orders.

Volunteer qualifications:

1. Age 21 or older.
2. Must possess good organizational, written, and interpersonal skills.

Training required:

1. Child support review process.

Required training provided at:  
Selected OAG location.
