General summary of
volunteer project:
Provide transportation of children to and/ or from the foster parent’s
home to the Center for supervised visits. Some of our children are
as far away as Arlington, Sherman, and Duncanville. May use the
Center van or car, or own car and receive mileage reimbursement.
Time commitment:
Hours per week:
2-4 hrs.
Hours per month: 4-8 hrs.

Specific volunteer
responsibilities:
- Be
on time at pick up site.
- Make
sure children are secured in car seats (if appropriate) and seat
belts.
- Keep
children safe during drive and help the children out of the vehicle
and into the Center.
- Stay
with the children until the visit supervisor takes over.
- If
necessary, return the children home.
Volunteer
qualifications:
- Must
be over 21 years of age and posses valid driving license.
- Must
pass a background check – personal and driving
.
