Volunteer Position: Assist As A Children's Justice Project Speaker

Agency: Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program 

General summary of volunteer project:
Volunteer attorneys speaking on various law topics with children.

Time of commitment: Hours per month: 2-3 Hours

Length of commitment: One meeting or more per month, at the volunteer's option.

Location: Various

Specific volunteer responsibilities:

  1. 1. Group meetings with law-related topics (topics vary).
  2. Meetings may be held during the workday, Mondays - Fridays, or on Saturdays.

Volunteer qualifications:

  1. Must be licensed Texas attorney in good standing with SBOT.
  2. Must complete Children's Justice Project application and agree to criminal background check, SBOT and employment check.

Training provided:

  1. Training offered.
  2. Documents, mentoring and support are providing by staff attorneys.
