Volunteer Position: Adoption Record Assistant

General summary of volunteer project:
Volunteers de-identify adoption records aid in completion of diligent searches and complete forms detailing the health and social history of children awaiting adoption.

Time commitment: Hours per week: 2 hrs. Hours per month: 8 hrs.

Length of commitment: 6 months

Location: 2355 Stemmons (Mapsco #44D)

Specific volunteer responsibilities:

  1. De-identify case records.
  2. Meet with caseworker and complete diligent searches for absent parents.
  3. Review case record and complete history documentation.
  4. Assist with preparation of life-book.

Volunteer qualifications:

  1. Age 21 or older.
  2. How to complete required forms.
  3. Life-book preparation.

Training required:

  1. Information to be deleted from records.
  2. How to complete required forms.
  3. Life-book preparation.
